WESTERN CANADA OIREACHTAS - NOVEMBER 12-14 2021
We are so excited to welcome you to the long-anticipated 2021 Western Canada Oireachtas, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Downtown Calgary.
This event is a World Qualifying event as well as a North American Qualifier for 2022.
We are also hosting “mini-champ” competitions for our grade level dancers: Beginner/Novice/PW Traditional Sets and Nov/PW Treble Jig Trophies.
Updated information will be posted here often, as well as on our WCIDTA Facebook and Instagram accounts. Important updates will be sent by e-mail to teachers also.
The committee is excited to see this event come together in celebration of all Western Canadian Irish Dancers as they prepare for the world stage. WELCOME BACK TO THE STAGE!

We are in the final stages of preparing for our 2021 Oireachtas and we need YOUR help to make it a fantastic event for our dancers. Please sign up using these links. Each teacher is required to take three shifts and we also are seeking parent and community volunteers to help with hospitality, costume room and front desk / number pickup shifts. Once you have filled out the Attencance form, you will be redirected to the OIREACHTAS WAIVER that must be completed by every individual attendee (age 18+)

IMPORTANT - For attendees from outside of Calgary & Area, in order to access the discounted family rate, you must be staying in the official block. Proof will be required, and anyone staying outside of the official block will be charged additional admission fees.

If the room block sells out, we have an option to add more rooms, and we will create a waiting list.
A second hotel will be announced if necessary to accommodate all of our out-of-town guests.
REGENCY CLUB ROOMS AT THE HYATT
Please note: Regency Club rooms are being managed by the hotel in conjunction with the organizing committee. These premium rooms with club access will be offered to teachers and volunteers only. The Regency Club will NOT be allowed as a place for dancers to congregate or for dancing school gatherings. Teachers and volunteers will be sent information on how to request the upgraded rooms which also carry a surcharge levied by the hotel.
PLEASE NOTE: we reserve the right to adjust the schedule based on entries and local and provincial requirements around attendance numbers and COVID-19 protocols.
